Our take
The DJ-808 packs a lot into a compact unit. Having four decks and a dedicated drum sequencer is great for creative sets. The sound quality is excellent with 96kHz sampling. I like the variety of effects—especially the robot and pitch shifting. However, the build feels a bit plastic, and the mixer section is cramped. Also, the included manual could be more detailed. For $750, it's a steal if you want a production-focused controller, but traditional DJs might find the layout cluttered.
