Our take
The DJ-808 is a beast. As a used unit from a perfect circuit, mine arrived fully functional. The 4-channel mixer with XLR outputs is club-ready, and the dual-deck control is intuitive once you set up the layers. The effects are rich, and the built-in drum machine is even better than the 202/505. The build is solid with metal accents. However, it's large and heavy for transport. At $1,099 used, it's still an investment, but it competes with flagship controllers. Perfect for serious DJs who want Roland's sound in a live setup.
