The controller supports autoloop, pitch control, and is plug-and-play PC/Mac. It has a tabletop form factor, 24-bit/48 kHz audio, and comes from Japan. The DJ-505 is designed for DJs who want to incorporate drum programming into their sets.
Our take
I love the DJ-505 for its versatility. The drum machine integration is phenomenal—being able to trigger 808/909 patterns on the fly adds a new dimension to my mixes. The XLR outputs are a must for gigs. The 16 pads are great for cue points and finger drumming. Build quality is top-notch. The only downside is the price, but you're paying for Roland's legendary sound. If you're a Serato user and want production features, this is a fantastic choice.
